Jane Ann Murr, 83, an area resident since 1972 and formerly of Jamaica, Queens, died on August 10, 2023 at The Grand at River Valley.

Born in Queens on June 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Frederick and Patricia (Keane) Hyatt. Jane had worked for many years as a home health aide.

On November 27, 1965 in Queens, Jane married the love of her life, George Murr, who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Edward Murr; her daughter, Catherine Petipas and her husband Keith; and her grandchildren, Lily, Chadwick, Blake, Victoria, Deeana, and Kesondra. She was predeceased by her daughter, Eileen Murr Farley.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am at the funeral home followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
