HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Jane Pagnanella, 74, an area resident since 1972, died on August 28, 2025, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She previously lived in Yorktown Heights.
Born in New York City on February 6, 1951, Jane was the daughter of the late John and Jane (Brown) McFadden. She retired at the age of 70 from TLC Pediatrics where she was employed as an LPN for over 20 years.
An avid fan of the NY Yankees, Jane enjoyed gardening, flowering, baking, and sewing. She liked to go bowling and dancing. She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment she spent with husband, children, and grandchildren.
On September 16, 1972, in Yorktown Heights, Jane married Stephen Pagnanella. Her husband of almost 53 years survives at home. She is also survived by her children. Stephanie Rifenburgh and her husband Bryan of Saugerties, Jason Pagnanella and his girlfriend Carmen Maldonado of Hopewell Junction, and Sarah Long and her husband Paul of Pleasant Valley; her grandchildren, Kylie and Nicolette Rifenburgh, Jayden Long, and Gianna, Sophia, and Jack Pagnanella; her siblings, John McFadden and his wife Margueirte, Kathleen Schute and her husband Chip, and Mary Ellen Jamison; her sister-in-law, Marianne McFadden; many nieces and nephews, especially Peter and Johnny McFadden; and her good friend, Cathy Keller.
In addition to her parents, Jane was also predeceased by her brothers, Peter McFadden and Steven McFadden.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 1st from 2 - 6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, September 2nd at 11:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
