Janet M. Lovelett, 89, went home to be with her Lord, her "Poppa" and her loving mom on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Lutheran Care Center. She was surrounded by her loving family who were so richly blessed to be at her side.
Born in White Plains, NY on April 15, 1922, she was the daughter of Theodore J. Hartung and Hilda Gloetzner.
Janet volunteered at the Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne and attended Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Millbrook. She had resided in Millbrook, NY, Cape Cod, MA, New Fairfield, CT, and Yorktown Heights, NY.
She was the most generous, loving and giving person to her family and all those she came in contact with. Heaven is gaining one more beautiful angel today!
On May 17, 1941 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains, Janet married Ulysses S. "Judson" Lovelett who predeceased her on May 8, 1998. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna and Greg Cambi of Wellfleet, MA, Cheri and Les Leone of North Salem, NY, Jon and Marie Lovelett of Beacon, NY, Linda and Mike Duda of Fort Mill, SC, Steven and Carole Lovelett of Averill Park, NY, Mary Lee and Chuck Dujardin of Wappingers Falls, NY, Tom and Valerie Lovelett of Stormville, NY, and Debbie and Ray McNally of Pomona, NY; her 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3 to 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with her grandson, Father Michael Cambi officiating. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
