Janice Dorothea Culver Curley, 66, of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Yorktown, died on Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in the Bronx on September 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Dorothea Schluter Culver. Janice was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She enjoyed knitting but more than anything she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On July 19, 1980 in New Rochelle, Janice married Stephen Curley who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Nella Gordineer and her husband James of Lessburg, TX, Stephen Curley of Hopewell Junction, Patrick Curley of Sleepy Hollow and Maribeth Curley of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, John and Maggie Gordineer of Leesburg, TX; her stepgrandson, Jimmy Gordineer of Mohegan Lake; her sister, Carole Erdman of Fishkill; and her niece, Anna Tetrault of Beacon.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
