Janice E. Sarlo passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2025. She was 70. Born in White Plains, NY on January 5, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice (James) Kugler. On January 26, 1975, she married the love of her life, Michael Sarlo, at Holy Rosary Church in the Bronx.

Everybody who knew Janice loved her dearly, and she loved them. She was a person you could go to for anything, and was known for giving the absolute best hugs! She was a voracious reader who always kept up with current events and loved animals. Janice could also make the best tasting meatballs - she even won 1st place in her family's meatball contest to prove it!

Janice is survived by her beloved husband Michael Sarlo; her children: Elizabeth Sarlo and her partner Rick Dewsnap, and Nicholas Sarlo and his wife Tina; her grandson Jimmy Sarlo; her sisters: Marion Philbin and Glenis Marocco; and her niece Debbie Poppleton.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 23, 2025 from 1-4 & 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday April 24, 2025 at 11am, although family and friends are welcome to gather at 10am.

In keeping with Janice's wishes, she would much prefer everyone wear colorful and comfortable clothing to her services, rather than traditional black. She wanted everyone to be comfortable!
