Janis E Headlee, 77, a resident of Dutchess County since 1971, died on January 23, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Waynesburg, PA in July , 1947, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary E. (Sandusky) Headlee. Janis attended Penn State and SUNY New Paltz, receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She had been employed as a Nurse with the Veterans Administration for over 30 years until her retirement in 2012.

Janis was a member of the Fishkill Methodist Church, and the Dutchess County Pistol Association. She enjoyed precision shooting sports, gardening and International travel, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Stasko of Dutchess County.

A Celebration of Janis' life will be held in the summer.
