Wappingers Falls – Jaswant Singh, 72, a resident of Wappinger Falls since 1990 and previously of India, passed away June 9, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in India, she was the daughter of Arjan and Karam (Kaur) Singh. In 1970, she married Manjeet Singh who predeceased her in 2000.

Jaswant was a member of the Mid-Hudson Sikh Cultural Society and loved to pray. She enjoyed cooking Indian food and knitting and sewing. She even made many of her own clothes. But she especially loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.

Jaswant is survived by her children, Pritam Singh of Wappingers Falls, Gurmeet Singh (Denis Brajanovic) of Hopewell Jct., Charanjit Singh of Wappingers Falls, and Paramjeet Festa (Nicholas) of Rock Hill, SC; and her grandchildren, Antonio Festa and Soraya Miller-Singh. In addition to her husband, Jaswant was predeceased by her daughter, Harjeet Singh in 2014, her brother Jaspal Singh and her sisters, Balwant Kaur and Bariam Kaur.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc.
