Jean M. Balducci, 79, a resident of Wappingers Falls for 45 years and formerly of Long Island, died on Friday, October 21, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Forest Hills, Queens on January 4, 1932, she was the daughter of William and Gladys Palmer Lang. She was a Realtor for over 25 years most recently with W. J. Lavery Real Estate. She was also a member of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors. Jean loved her family -they meant the world to her. She also loved being with her friends, gardening, planting flowers, and making everything look beautiful. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
On June 14, 1953 in Seaford, New York, Jean married the love of her life, Louis Balducci Sr. who survives at home. She is also survived by her loving children: son, Jim Balducci and his fiance Ann Storms of Hopewell Junction; her daughter, Jean Balducci of Wappingers Falls; her son, John Balducci of Poughkeepsie; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Balducci of Wappingers Falls; her grandsons, Louis and Vincent Balducci of Wappingers Falls; her sister and "best friend", Valerie Seide and her husband Henry of Brunswick GA; her uncle, Wolf Pfeiffer of Brunswick GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son Louis Balducci Jr. on April 18, 2002.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
