Jean L. Meyer, 85, a resident of Fishkill since 1993 and formerly of Point Pleasant, NJ, died on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City, NJ on October 21, 1925, she was the daughter of Clarence J. and Ida Mae Norton Odell. She worked as a medical lab technician until her retirement in 1990 and was a member of the Fishkill Seniors.
On May 8, 1948 in Woodridge, NJ, Jean married William Edward Meyer who predeceased her on February 7, 1993. She is survived by her son, Robert Meyer and his wife Susan of Fishkill; her sister, Bonnie Kovalick and her husband Richard of Akron, OH; her grandchildren, Todd, Kyle, John, Shannon, Steven and James; and her great-grandchildren, Mariah, John, Jr., Aizayah, Matthew, Aidyan, Dylan, Julianna, and Natalie. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine Diane Meyer in 2001.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery42 Rutherford Ave., Lyndhurst, NJ.
