Jean Elizabeth Schreiber, 72, a resident of southern Dutchess County for almost 40 years, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on September 14, 2023.

Born in Olean, NY, Jean was the daughter of the late Gerald and Dorothy (Goodridge) Hulbert. She was employed as a medical assistant for over 20 years, primarily in the dermatology field for Dr. Jeffrey Kezis in Fishkill.

She was a strong, feisty, and fiercely loving light in this world. More than anything, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Mattia and her husband Joseph of Poughquag, Janet Sokol and her husband Paul of Poughquag, Heather Wolters of Manor Park, and Walter Schreiber of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Miranda, Sarah, Patrick, Collin, Michael, Thomas, Cameron, and Kaylee; her siblings and their spouses, Mary Hulbert Cronan, Greg and Darilyn Hulbert, Lois and Robert McKeown, Geraldine and Gary Parker, and David and Randi Hulbert; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass is being offered on Saturday, September 23rd at 10 am at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by inurnment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
