Fishkill- Jean Simmons, a resident of Fishkill, NY since 1966 passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2025. She was 90 years old.
Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Penge) Colozzi.
On June 2,1956, Jean married the true love of her life Jerry Simmons at Holy Cross Church in Brooklyn, NY.
Jean was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, NY.
Jean loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed every minute she could be with them, cooking big family dinners and just being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her children: Linda (Richard) Johnson, Glenn (Jennifer) Simmons, and Lisa Simmons, her grandchildren: Matt (Melissa) Johnson, Joe (Laura) Johnson, Kim (Greg) Picciano, Laura (Dave) Regg, Tayler Simmons and Conner (Amanda) Simmons. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren: Emily, Leah, Grace, Joey, Ryan, Jason, Sean, Michael, Justin, Henry, Nicholas, Evan, Matthew, Sloane and Vienna as well as her brother Anthony (Maryann) Colozzi and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Jerry, Jean is pre-deceased by her brother and sister-in-law Louis and Gloria Colozzi and her sister and brother-in-law Alice and Marty Cwiklik.
Calling hours will be at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc. 1089 Main Street on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 5pm - 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 10, 2025, at 10AM at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY 12524. Interment to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
