Jeanette K. Leva, 67, a resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of the Bronx, died on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born on October 26, 1948 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn Russin Gitto. Jeanette was employed as a technician at IBM in East Fishkill. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

On June 15, 2000 in Las Vegas, Jeanette married Anthony Leva who predeceased her on August 1, 2007. She is survived by her children, Joseph Ferrante and his fiancée Doris Mateo of New Windsor and Gina Hayden and her husband Killy of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Angelina and Joseph Ferrante Jr., Killy and Cole Hayden; her sister, Joanne Mitkowski; her niece, Julianne Woblers; and her nephew, Eric Mitkowski.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
