Jeanette McFarland, age 88, of Fishkill, NY and previously of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away at home on December 5, 2024. She was born on February 3, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Elmore and Susie (Jordens) Cooney. On October 6, 1959, she married Nathaniel McFarland at St. Peter's Rock Baptist Church in Little Rock. They spent many happy years together until his death in 2006.

Jeanette was a Teacher in Gary, Indiana City Schools. She enjoyed volunteer work with the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter Michelle Thorpe and her husband Wade of Fishkill, NY, her son Melvn McFarland of Amsterdam, NY, her son Michael McFarland of Schenectady, NY, her grandson Evan McFarland of Schenectady, NY, and her granddaughter Celia McFarland of Cobleskill, NY.
