Jeanne Noel Tobin, 57, an area resident since 1992 and formerly of Wantagh, NY, died on October 12, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn on December 18, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Matthew John and Helen Jeanne (Allen) Tobin. Jeanne was a 1985 graduate of McArthur High School in Levittown, NY. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH in 1989 with her bachelor's degree, and from Hunter College with her master's degree in nutrition. She had been employed at the WIC Center in Coney Island, New York Downtown Hospital in Manhattan, NY and as a school aide for the Millbrook School District at Alden Elementary School.
Jeanne was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville. She volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, and was part of the Living Well Group at the Fishkill Baptist Church. She had been a Den Leader and Committee Member for Cub Scout Pack #31, and a member of the Junior League of Poughkeepsie.
On September 5, 1992 at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Jeanne married her college sweetheart, Bob Sayah, who survives at home. She was an amazing mom to her three sons, Thomas, and twins Jason and Brian. She is also survived by her siblings, Matthew Tobin, Alexis Tobin, Kateri O'Brien and John Tobin; and ten nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
