Born on May 7, 1931 in NYC to Louis J. and Elsie (Roth) Zappolo, she attended the New York High School of Music and Art where she developed her passion for painting and other artistic endeavors. She married Peter H. Bellizzi on July 29, 1950, and was a devoted wife and mother to their ten children. Mr. Bellizzi pre-deceased her in 2000.

Jeannine served three terms as President of the Associate Members of the Mid-Hudson Regional Ballet Company and was a volunteer at the Hudson River Maritime Museum where she was recognized for her twenty-plus years of service. Jeannine and Peter spent many years enjoying their boat "Bittersweet" on the Hudson River. She was an avid history buff and enjoyed traveling to historic sites, landscapes and lighthouses in the United States and even traveled to China, which she found fascinating. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church since 1956.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Eileen Fiore, Richard Bellizzi, Peter (Beverly) Bellizzi, Michael (Donna) Bellizzi, Carolyn (Ed) Hotaling, Stephen Bellizzi, James (Christine) Bellizzi, Susan Candela, Patricia (Jim) Bode, Kathryn (Albert) Bellizzi, as well as 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, Gerald Zappolo.
