Obituary

HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Jesse James D'Esposito, 36, a lifelong area resident, died on June 23, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center after complications from a medical issue.

Jesse was born on February 13, 1990 in Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was a construction man through and through-- whether it was working for Ethos Construction, Local 825 Operating Engineers, or Local 445 Teamsters down at Tilcon, NY. He loved working with his hands, getting dirty and wearing his favorite custom ordered hard hats.

Jesse loved to go fast on anything with wheels. His nature was to push everything to its limit-- whether that be his go karts he raced as a kid, his many quads and dirtbikes, or any motorcycle he could get his hands on. He always had the guts to try what most people were scared to do. There's was never a jump he wouldn't hit.

Jesse was the type of person that if you didn't know his name when he arrived, you can be damn sure you knew it when he left. He was a man who carried a heart of gold that was always accompanied by some brass knuckles, and always left an impression on those around him. He was truly loved for it.

Jesse was predeceased by his brother, Howard "Buddy" Beneway, Jr. in 2020.

Jesse is survived by his father, Joseph Edward D'Esposito; his mother, Kimberly (Cushing) D'Esposito; his brother, Jaime D'Esposito and his wife Christina; his companion, Katlin and her children; his former wife Nicole and her son Dominic, and their children Taylor, Emily and Colton, who were the loves of his life . Being a father was his most cherished role in this world.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Tuesday, June 30th from 5 - 8 pm with a service at 7:45 pm.
