WAPPINGERS FALLS - Jesuina "Bina" Santos, 87, died peacefully on September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. An area resident for 15 years, she had previously resided in Yonkers where she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Born in Vilarinho Do Bairro - Anadia, Portugal, she was the daughter of Manuel and Rosa (De Jesus) Mota. Bina loved gardening and flowers, and worked for many years at Prospero Nursery in Valhalla.

Bina was predeceased by her husband, Amilcar Dos Santos, on December 19, 1996. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Hermes "Adam" and Irene Santos, Amilcar "Mike" and Maria Santos, Luis "Miguel" Santos, and Christina and Jose Ramos; her grandchildren, Eric, Rachel, Julia, Marissa, Michael, Jake, Victoria and Gabriela; and her great-grandson, Josiah.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Avenue, Yonkers. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
