Joan B. Boettcher, a resident of Fishkill, NY since 1964, passed away peacefully October 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old.

Born in Irvington, NJ on July 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Harrison) Hopf. On May 6, 1962, she married Benedict Boettcher in West Orange, NJ. Sadly, he predeceased her in 2019.

Joan was a loyal and faithful parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She was devoted to her family and loved being a Mom and Nannie to her children and grandchildren, always their biggest fan at countless sporting events.

Her hobbies included shopping, puzzles, coloring, family gatherings, gardening (especially her beautiful rose bushes), and cheering for the New York Yankees. A highlight of her life was seeing Pope John Paul II at Yankee Stadium. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, her dog, and her many grand-dogs.

She is survived by her loving children: Steve Boettcher (Bonnie), Gregory Boettcher, Pam Allgauer, Laura Boettcher, and Andrew Boettcher; her cherished grandchildren: Erika Allgauer, Evan Allgauer, Shelby Boettcher, and Tyler Boettcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother Robert Hopf, her sisters Nancy Stevens and Lynn Riker, and her beloved dog, Magnum.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12PM - 4PM at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc. 1089 Main Street with a service taking place in the funeral home at 3:30PM.
