Joan Doris Decker, 72, a lifelong area resident, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at her home.

Born in Poughkeepsie on September 26, 1937, Joan was the daughter of Gerald and Doris Marguerite Church Thew.  She is survived by her former husband, Arthur L. Decker of Munson, ME; her son, Kenneth Arthur Decker of Southeast Bolivia, NC; her grandchildren, Justin Kenneth Decker, Eric Decker, Stephanie Decker and Marissa Clarke; her great-granddaughter, Khloe Decker; and her brother, Gary Thew of NC.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
