BEACON – Joan Gregor, 75, an area resident for the past four years, died suddenly on May 12, 2016 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. She formerly lived in Brooklyn.
Born in Brooklyn on March 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late William and Amelia (McAndrew) Butler. She had been employed as an assistant teacher at the Wishing Well in Brooklyn until her retirement.
Joan is survived by her children, Marie Logan and her husband Michael of Wappingers Falls, Michael Gregor and his wife Valerie of Delray Beach, FL, Lance Gregor of Brooklyn, Stan Gregor of Wappingers Falls, and Christopher Gregor of Brooklyn; her grandchildren, Michael Logan and his wife Monica, Heather Schaeffer and her husband Robert, and William Gregor; her great-granddaughters, Riley and Scarlett Schaeffer; her longtime best friend, Joyce Rzonca and her husband Steven of Long Neck, DE; and her longtime companion, Lawrence Anderson of New Jersey.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
