Joanne Katherine Guerin passed away at the age of 81 on September 9, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Joanne was born in Queens, NY on September 26, 1939 to Charles and Theresa McManus. She grew up in the area of Shrewsbury, NJ, graduating from Red Bank Catholic High School in 1957. She moved to Poughuag, NY in 1969 where she raised her three children and made long lasting friendships.

Joanne owned The Village Bookshop in the Hopewell Antiques Center where she traded in antique items and vintage books, for which she had a genuine passion. She also had a deep affection for the beauty and history of the Hudson Valley, which she proudly called home for the past 50 years.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, John and Elizabeth Guerin, Dianne Crichton and James Doty, and Noelle Albanese; her grandchildren Michelle and Joe, Luke, Eliza, Kyle and Michael; her great-grandson, Finn; her brother, Charles Gerard McManus and his wife Sheila; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service will be offered on Wednesday, September 15th at noon at St. Denis Church (602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction) to be followed by a Celebration of Life Lunch at Blue Fountain Restaurant at 2:00 (826 Rte 376, Hopewell Junction).

Arrangements are under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., in Hopewell Junction, NY. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
