Joanne Rose Quandt passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on January 22, 2019.
Born on February 16th in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Palmisano) Bova. She was a graduate of Salem High School. In 1957 she married Kenneth H. Quandt, who predeceased her in 2012.
Joanne was employed at Central Hudson Gas & Electric for over 25 years as a Customer Service Representative. She was so full of warmth and love that anyone who entered her home was made to feel as if they were family. Joanne enjoyed the holidays, shopping, drinking tea and playing cards. Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Debra Zanin, Ann Marie Harris and Stephanie Ose; sons-in-law, Ian, Bernard and Gus; her grandchildren along with their significant others, Devon, Christopher & Dianne, Michael, Stephanie Jean & Ryan, Ryan & Ashley, Deidre &Joey, Johanna & Joe, Reese, Dylan & Jordan, and Brandi; her great-grandchildren; Briana, Sadie, Evangelene, Elliot, Daniel, Xander, William, Finnegan, Benjamin, Giachenta and Joseph Reid; and many other relatives & friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joanne was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Mae Bova.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 26th at the Church of St. Mary, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in the community mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
