EAST FISHKILL – Johanna M. Zipprich, 82, a resident of Hillside Lake since 1960 and formerly of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born in Munich, Germany on January 9, 1932, Johanna was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Union Vale Seniors. An avid bird lover and watcher, she was often found feeding her birds especially the hummingbirds which were her favorites. She had a love for the Southwest especially Arizona.
On September 21, 1958 at St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie, Johanna married Bruno Zipprich who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Bruno A. Zipprich Jr. and his wife Connie of San Antonio, TX, Heidi Morgan and her husband Jeffrey of Hopewell Junction, Helga Mead of AZ, and John Zipprich of Albuquerque, NM; her grandchildren, Michael J. Morgan and his wife Susanne, and Thomas C. Morgan; and her great-grandsons, Joey Angot and Trent Morgan.
