John Joseph Angie, 58, a lifelong area resident, died on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie on November 29, 1954, he was the son of the late John V. Angie who predeceased him on June 13, 1971 and Vivian Angie Carder who survives at home. John was the owner and operator of Angie's Automotive in LaGrangeville since 1980. He was a parishioner at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his children, Heather and Brandon; his brother, James Jay (Kathy) Angie of Harmony, North Carolina; his sister, Joanna Angie (Kerry) of Buffalo; and his nephews, Justin and Jordan.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 -5 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
