John M. Berube passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on May 11, 1939, in Manhattan to the late John and Elvira (Nelson) Berube. He was raised in Yorktown, NY, and always spoke fondly about his childhood there. On August 13, 1965, he married his beloved wife Joan (Miller) Berube, who survives him at home.

John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years as a Manager at IBM in East Fishkill. He loved watching his sons play soccer and hockey and supporting the Rangers and Giants.

He was predeceased by his brother Allen Berube.

In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by his three sons, John, Richard and his wife Susan, and Eric, as well as his sister Elvira Wolven.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1400 Route 52, Fishkill, NY 12524, where they were both devout members.
