John Edward Cobelli

John Edward Cobelli left this earth peacefully on July 1, 2026 to unite with Jesus and his brothers, Thomas and Edward.

John will be missed by his loving wife Terry; his loving daughter Jayme; and his loving sons, Kris Dyer, Edward, Bobby (his wife Sarah), and Jeffrey (his wife Wendy). He is also survived by his grandsons, Xavier Cobelli and Benton Dyer, as well as his sisters, Sandra Pace and Susan Cobelli.

"Johnny Boy" was born and raised in Yonkers, NY and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1969 where he was a Fraternity Brother of Lambda Chi Alpha, Zeta 131.

John's career was bookended by over 10 years of teaching while being a successful business owner for over 30 years. As a teacher, he influenced many students with his words of wisdom and silly jokes.

Rest in the arms of Jesus.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
