Obituary

Wappingers Falls- Johnny "Cake" Coschigano, Jr passed away in his home on the afternoon of September 6, 2022.

John was born on May 4, 1949 to John Coschigano Sr and Louise DiBenedictis where he lived with them in Mt Vernon, NY. In 1967, John enlisted in the Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic at the age of 17 where he served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968. In 1970 he married the love of his life, Annie Tiso, after dating for 5 years. They had two children, his son Daniel and his daughter Alissa. They moved to Wappingers Falls in 1991 where he would spend the rest of his life.

John continued to work as a mechanic until his retirement. To fill his time, John became a woodturner where he displayed his work in art shows and studios locally and in New York City. His artwork was purchased and admired by many. John's keen eye for detail extended into his home where he worked on creating his perfect home, and eventually taking care of his bonsai tree garden while watching western films and Animal Planet.

John is survived by his wife, kids, son in law Nick Mosca, dog and best friend Rocky, as well as John's three sisters; Janet Rossi (wife of Jimmy Rossi), Denise Coschigano and NinaMarie Coschigano and countless Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
