John J. Donohue, 95, a local resident for 38 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Benedictine Hospital in Kingston.

Born in New York City on April 17, 1914, he was the son of William and Julia Desposito Donohue. He was employed as a security guard at Golden Hill Health Care Center in Kingston until his retirement.

John was predeceased by his wife, Druccilla G. Cottrell on June 18, 1997 and his grandson, Robert Strauss.  He is survived by his children, John Donohue of St. James, Henry Donohue of Mohawk and Druccilla Tuero of Kerhonkson; his brother, Joseph Donohue; his sister, Elizabeth Donohue; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
