Obituary

John P. Fuller, 51, a resident of Newburgh and formerly of Poughkeepsie, died at his home in the arms of his loving wife on Friday, January 30, 2015 following a short illness.
Born in Merced, CA on May 21, 1963, he was the son of Shirley Flanagan Fuller of Rhinebeck and the late Clifton Fuller. John worked in home maintenance in many different venues, most recently for Balfour and Beatty Communities in West Point. John was passionate about cooking, was an avid gun enthusiast and a licensed pyro-technician. He also loved to hunt, and announced "The Hunt Is Over" when he married the love of his life, Angela Cioffero Gioia, on May 18, 2013.

In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his stepchildren, Daniella Gioia of Manhattan, Vincent Gioia of Newburgh and Jonathan Gioia of Newburgh; his siblings, Jo-Ann Van Norstrand of Red Hook, Jerald Fuller of NC, Jodie Fuller of Catskill, Jamie Ferrante of Poughkeepsie, Jeffrey and Dawn Fuller of Pleasant Valley and his beloved brother-in-law, Glenn Van Norstrand as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his tough little cookie, Julia Sara Gioia, on March 29, 2013.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a funeral service at 3pm with Rev. Chris Boyd officiating.
