PLEASANT VALLEY – John "Jack" Haverty, a resident of Pleasant Valley, NY, died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 84.
He was born in the Bronx on May 1, 1936, son of the late John and Edna (Lynch) Haverty. In 1955, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country until being honorably discharged from service in 1961.
For over 50 years, he was the proud owner of Jack Haverty's Auto Parts in Pleasant Valley.
He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews along with their families.
Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
