BEEKMAN – John A. Orbik Jr. (Jack), born on July 19, 1945, passed away on January 28, 2021 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, Poughkeepsie. He was the son of the late John and Evelyn (Halpern) Orbik.

John is survived by his loving wife, Concetta Orbik; his two daughters, Lauren Wright Fahid (Michael) and Meghan Wright; his granddaughter, Jordyn; and his sister-in-law, Paula Steenbergen (Mark). John was a loving and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews: Sheri Woolley (Billy), Betsy Allgauer (Matthew), Carl Klaproth (Rebecca), Lance Klaproth (Becky), Jessica, Zachary and Victoria Steenbergen; as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

John spent his entire career at IBM as an engineer, commencing in 1965 through retirement in 1996. He was an avid golfer and traveler, and never missed a chance to watch his favorite team, the Washington Red Skins, play ball.

There will be no calling hours. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church of St. Columba, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Wednesday at 10am. John will be laid to rest at the Clove Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required.
