John Springman's Obituary
HOPEWELL JUNCTION - John G. Springman, 69, an area resident for 30 years and previously of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on September 17, 1947 in the Bronx, John was the son of John C. and Theresa (DeMaria) Springman. Starting his career with the Postal Service in 1971 as a letter carrier, John worked hard and earned the rank of Executive Vice President of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 36.
On June 25, 1970 in Poughkeepsie, John married Carol Press who survives at home. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Jon Springman of Hopewell Junction, and Denise Springman-Pacheco of Fishkill; his grandchildren, Joey Rabasco, Jillian Ciccarelli, Alexa Springman and Jon Springman, Jr.; his mother, Theresa Springman of Budd Lake, NJ; and his sister, Louise Valletta.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
