BEEKMAN – John F. Terceira, 88, an area resident since 2002, died peacefully at his home on August 11, 2022.

Born in Fall River, MA on December 28, 1933, he was the son of John and Irene (Munoz) Terceira. John proudly served our county in the US Army. He was employed for many years in the banking industry, retiring as the Vice President of the Bank of New York in Mamaroneck.

On October 2, 1954 in Brooklyn, John married the love of his life, Patricia Toomey, who predeceased him on May 18, 2005. He is survived by his children, Nancy Terceira, Chris Terceira and his wife Christine, Stacy Nyberg and Susan Aadal; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bridget and Grace Terceira, PJ and Taylor Nyberg, and Mark Alan Aadal.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
