HOPEWELL JUNCTION – John T. "Jack" Timberlake, 72, an area resident for 40 years and formerly from Queens Village, died on April 12, 2016 at his home.

Born in Brooklyn on March 13, 1944, he was the son of John J. and Marie Carl Timberlake. Jack was a police officer with NYPD for 34 years, mostly in the 52nd Precinct until his retirement in 2000. He was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. An avid Buffalo Bills fan, he also bowled in a league at Fishkill Bowl for over 35 years.

On September 18, 1965 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Queens Village, Jack married Diane Walsh who survives at home. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Tom and Rachel Timberlake of LaGrange and Kelly and Kevin McMahon of Throgs Neck; his grandchildren, Jacquelyn Timberlake, Liam and Connor McMahon; his siblings, Bill Timberlake and Kathy Finerfrock; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
