John Vaccaro's Obituary
POUGHKEEPSIE - John T. Vaccaro, 62, an area resident since 1975 and formerly of Brooklyn, died on January 4, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn on November 18, 1960, he was the son of the late John and Renee (Henry) Vaccaro. John had been employed at Stop & Shop for the last 17 years, working in the deli and meat departments.
On January 5, 1990 in Poughkeepsie, John married Holli B. Donohue who predeceased him on October 23, 2003. He is survived by his children, Richard Williams and Jami-Jo Greco; his grandchildren, Christian Williams, Jordan Williams, Kaleb Greco and Noah Williams; his brothers, Derek Vaccaro and Rodney Vaccaro; his nephew, Derek Vaccaro; and his uncle and aunt, Thomas and Claire Henry.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be in Beekman Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
