Jonathan A. Pecoraro , a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, NY, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2026. He was 21 years old.
Jonathan was born on November 3, 2004, in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of Wendy and Andrew Pecoraro.
He attended Brinkerhoff Elementary School, Van Wyck Junior High School, and graduated from John Jay High School in 2023.
To know Jonathan was to love him. He had a natural talent for repairing power equipment and ultimately became the proud owner and operator of M & S Power Equipment. He took great pride in his work and cared deeply for his customers.
Hiking, camping, and appreciating the natural world brought him great happiness. He was a regular visitor to Florida and Vermont. His dream was to one day hike the entire Appalachian Trail.
Jonathan is survived by his loving parents, Wendy Pecoraro and Andrew Pecoraro. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles: Eve Stowe, Alyson Albano, Randi Hartman, Anthony Albano, Philip Hartman, Steven Pecoraro, Thomas Pecoraro, and Frances Ferraro; his cousins: Ian Stowe, Adam Stowe, Patricia Albano, Sean Hartman, Timothy Pecoraro, Zachary Pecoraro, Jeannine Pecoraro, and Oriana Pecoraro; as well as his very dear friend and mentor, Marc Osterhoudt, and many other close friends.
A celebration of Jonathan's life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with services at 7:00 pm at Fishkill Recreation Center, 793 Route 52, Fishkill, New York. Burial will be on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at New Hackensack Rural Cemetery, 1652 Route 376, Wappingers Falls, New York, at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to both.
