Jordan Stager Bledsoe

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jordan Stager Bledsoe, 37, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, who left us unexpectedly on September 25, 2026.

A lifelong resident of the area, Jordan was born on October 13, 1988, in Mount Kisco, the cherished son of Truman "Chris" Bledsoe and Marlene Stager.

Jordan's educational journey led him to graduate from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 2007. He continued his education at Fordham University, where he played football and earned All-Conference honors in 2009 and was selected as team captain for the 2010-2011 season. After graduating in 2011, he poured his heart and soul into his work. As the owner and operator of Velocity Sports Performance, he devoted his life to training young athletes in Dutchess and Westchester counties. He continued to earn a wide range of certifications that credentialed him to work with athletes in more than 45 sports at all levels of development. His passion for speed, agility, and athletic development inspired countless individuals and left a lasting impact on the community.

Jordan was very involved in many different organizations including Wappingers Warriors Youth Lacrosse, East Fishkill Recreation Advisory Council and USA Lacrosse, was credentialed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), and was awarded by Marquis Who's Who in 2025 and Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2024.

On July 12, 2014, at St. Denis Church, Jordan married Sarah Burke. Jordan always enjoyed being part of a team and in Sarah, he found his partner, his best friend, and love of his life. Together, they created a loving home in Hopewell Junction for their two wonderful sons, KJ and Chase. To Jordan, there was nothing more fulfilling than being a devoted father; his family was his greatest treasure, and his love for them knew no bounds.

In addition to his wife and sons, he is also survived by his parents, Chris and Marlene; his brothers, Dylan and Ethan and his fiancé Kelly; his father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Jeanne Burke; his brother-in-law, Sean Burke; and many other extended family members, friends and athletes whose lives he touched.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 30 from 3-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service on Thursday, October 1, at 10am at Fishkill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery.

Jordan will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
