Joseph F. Ascone, 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 21, 2022. He was born in the Bronx, NY on June 19, 1935 to parents Frank and Maria (Bellamo) Ascone. On November 17, 1955, he married the love of his life Anna Maria Ascone (nee' Borras) in the Bronx. Anna predeceased him in May of this year. Joseph worked as a window clerk for the Murray Hill post office in NYC for many years. In his younger years, he was an avid softball player, loved golf, and enjoyed being a Little League coach. He was a true Mets fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Survivors include his beloved son Joe Ascone and his wife Anna; and his grandkids Joey and Jessica Ascone. In addition to his wife Anna, Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Debby Mitchell. Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022 from 12-2pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY.
