Joseph Castagna, 67, a resident of Fishkill since 2013 and formerly of Port Chester and White Plains, died on Friday, August 1, 2014.
Born in Bari, Italy on May 3, 1947, he was the son of Michael and Clementine Castagna and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. His career was cabinetry and he was the owner and operator of Castagna Brothers in Bridgeport. He was very active in his son's life, never missing sporting events or activities.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son Brent Castagna and his wife Nafis of Wappingers Falls; his granddaughter, Madelyne Castagna; and his sisblings and their spouses, Vincent and Nancy Castagna of CA, Ann and Mario Giordano of Silver Lake, Carmella and Alan Merenstein of White Plains; his sister-in-law, Bernarda Castagna of FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Castagna.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10-11:30am at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill followed by a service at 11:30am. Memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
