Joseph Charles Christiano, 15, a lifelong resident of Stormville died on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital after injuries sustained in an accident.

Born in Yonkers on June 27, 1997, he was the son of Joseph and Judy Vandervoort Christiano. A sophomore at Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, he was a member of the football team. He also loved basketball and baseball, and had played for the Beekman Little League. The best time he had playing baseball was in Cooperstown with the Cobras.

In addition to his loving parents, Joseph is survived by his twin brother and best friend, Anthony Christiano and his older sister, Deanna Christiano, both at home. Other survivors include his paternal grandparents, Dominick and Estelle Christiano; his uncles and aunts, Gary and Eileen Christiano, John and Allison Cernuto, Eva and John Donnadio, and Mary Anne and Peter Finella; his cousins, Johnny Cernuto, Nicholas Cernuto, Dominick Christiano, Victoria Christiano, Emma Cernuto, Steven Finella, and Andrea Finella; and all his many loving friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Charlie Vandervoort.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
