Obituary


Joseph Komarzanski, 92, a two year resident of Millbrook, formerly of Yonkers, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, January 23, 2010.
Born in Bethlehem, PA on December 22, 1917, he was the son of the late William and Agnes Oszust Komarzanski.  He was a Veteran of World War II, graduated from the NYS Agricultural and Technical Institute in 1950 and retired as a Supervisor for the NYS Thruway Authority after 25 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, bird watching and word puzzles.
Joseph's wife, Alice May Komarzanski, predeceased him on September 15, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Daryl Cheifetz and her husband David of Florida; his son, David Komar and his wife Dara of Stormville; his sister, Carol Conway of Florida; four grandchildren, Danielle & Nicole Cheifetz and Dariel & Derek Komar.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
