Obituary

TOWN OF LAGRANGE – Joseph Camillo Milea, 17, a lifelong local area resident, died at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, January 26th from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Joseph was born in Poughkeepsie on September 14, 1993, son of Richard J.Milea, who survives at home and Barbara Del Cantaro Milea, who predeceased him in 2008. He is also survived at home by his brother and best friend, Michael Milea.
Joey was completing his Senior year at Arlington High School. His hobbies included riding his dirt bike, paintball and video games. More than anything, he enjoyed hanging out with his brother and friends.
He was loved by his family and brought them much joy and happiness. After his mother passed away, and with the help of his brother, Joey became a great source of support for his father and helped him with tasks at home including cooking and cleaning.
In addition to his father and brother, Joey is also survived by his grandmother, Carmella Milea of Brooklyn; his aunts & uncles, Kenneth Milea of Brooklyn, Elaine & Rocky Perna of Staten Island; Peter Del Cantaro of Torrington, CT; Dale & Michael Morrow of LaGrange; and Richard Del Cantaro of Torrington, CT; his cousins, whom he loved very much, Matthew & Joseph Del Cantaro, Amanda DiPalo, Michael & Christopher Morrow, Kimberly Conklin, and Jennifer DiPalo.
In addition to his mother, Joseph was also predeceased by his grandparents, Leo & Harriet Del Cantaro and Joseph Milea, as well as his uncle Thomas Milea.
He will be missed dearly by a host of loving relatives and friends.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
