POUGHKEEPSIE – Joseph P. Paradise, Sr., 81, an area resident for 12 years and formerly of Fort Myers, FL and Carmel, died on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2021 at his home.

Born in New Rochelle on March 19, 1940, he was the son of Peter and Florence Paradise. Joseph was employed as a specialist with Verizon in White Plains and loved fishing.

Joseph is survived by his sons and their wives, Joseph and Maureen Paradise, Kevin and Robin Paradise; his grandchildren, Joseph P. Paradise III, Corey Paradise, Nicole Paradise, Kayla Paradise and Victoria Paradise; his great-grandson, Bentley; his siblings, Donald Paradise, Peter Paradise and Diana McCabe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Constance (McGinness) Paradise; his son, Jeffrey Paradise; and his sister, Florence.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10am – 12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 11:45am and entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
