Joseph Patrick Plourde, 69, a lifelong area resident, died on May 19, 2023 at his home.

Born in Poughkeepsie on February 21, 1954, he was the son of Joseph Alfred Romeo Plourde and Arlene Lahey Lown. Joseph proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a taxi cab driver, and enjoyed cars, soldier magazines, and Marvel Comics.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Arlene Lown; his siblings, Theresa Wardell, Joanne Plourde and Roger Lown and his wife Jayne; his nieces, Jennifer, Heather and Antonia; and his great nieces and nephew, Julian, Jonah and Alliyah.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 2:30pm. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
