Obituary

FISHKILL - Joseph I. Raab, 78, died on June 18, 2021 peacefully at his home following a 14 month illness.

Born in Brooklyn on October 2, 1942, Joseph proudly served our country in the US Army and was a loving, caring and witty father and husband. He had been employed as the Director of Production for American Printing in Uniondale for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. He then worked for The Blue Book of Building and Construction until 2014.

Known as a "True Cowboy", Joseph lived life to the fullest and exemplified a work hard – play hard mentality. He enjoyed horseback riding, fast cars, martial arts, zumba and dancing. More than anything though, he loved his grandchildren who, especially during his illness brought him much joy and happiness.

On September 22, 1973 in Verona, NJ, Joseph married the love of his life, Bonni Nuss, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Danielle and Craig (Colasante), and Erik and Breanne Raab; his grandchildren, Peyton, Delaney Mason, and Sadie; and his sister, Lorrie Lobasco.

A private service was held with the immediate family. Memorial donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice.
