BEEKMAN – Joseph LaRosa Sahagian, 92, an area resident since 1991 and formerly of Jackson Heights, died on August 9, 2021 at Putnam Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in the Bronx on May 3, 1929, he was the son of Carmelo and Jenny (Bouchemi) LaRosa. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Joseph was employed as a printer with Local # 1042 in Manhattan. A parishioner of St. Denis Church, he was also a member of the East Fishkill and Beekman Seniors.

On October 4, 1953 at St. Lucy's Church in Manhattan, Joseph married Cecilia Belardo who predeceased him on February 13, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Scocozza and Joann Falchetti; and his grandchildren, Dayne Scocozza, Austin and Sabrina Scocozza, Zachary Falchetti, Rashad Falchetti, Shareef Falchetti and Giuliana Falchetti.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Rose Hills Memorial Park.
