Obituary

Joseph G. Selesky, 65, a resident of Stormville for 35 years and formerly of the Bronx, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home.

Born in the Bronx on November 10, 1946, he was the son of Joseph W. and Agnes V. Gierer Selesky. He served our country in the US Army and was employed as a foreman for Con Edison in Manhattan for 40 years until his retirement in 2005. Joe was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

On April 10, 1968 at St. Barnabas Church in the Bronx, Joe married Sharon Heinrich who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Robin M. Selesky of Highland; his son, Joseph J. Selesky of Carmel; his granddaughter, Samantha Smith; and his brother, William Selesky of Yonkers.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
