HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Joseph Winterleitner, 78, an area resident since 1966, died on March 24, 2018 at home. He previously lived in Yonkers and the Bronx.

Born in Koflach, Austria on March 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Balthasar and Maria (Supan) Winterleitner. He was employed by Putnam Precision Products in Brewster for 36 years until his retirement in 2015.

Joseph is survived by his sons and their spouses, Robert and Belinda Winterleitner, of Painesville, OH and Richard and Sara Winterleitner, of Milton; his grandchildren, Amanda Winterleitner, and Alex Winterleitner,; his former wife, Theresia Winterleitner,; and several nieces and nephews.

Joseph enjoyed golfing, hunting, and skiing, and watching British soccer.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a funeral service at 7 pm.
