Josephine Elisa Cecere DiPietro, 76, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 30 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Manhattan on October 27, 1933, she was the daughter of Joseph and Genoveffa Grieco Cecere.  She was currently employed as a bookkeeper for Lee Myles Transmissions in New Windsor where she has worked for the last 19 years.   She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

Josephine is survived by her daughter, Joanne Ramsay and her husband, Bruce of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Bruce, Elisa Josephine and Matthew Ramsay; her sisters, Lucy Perez of Hopewell Junction, Rose Pasquale of North Carolina, Jennie Hanchett of West Palm Beach, FL, and Angie Patierno of Hopewell Junction; her brothers, Frank Cecere of Long Island, Benny Cecere of Suffern and Joey Cecere of Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Baumann and her brother, Armando Cecere.

Callings hours will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
