She is also survived by a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins, many of whom were more like sisters and brothers than simply cousins.
Jo was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Anna Barbara; brothers, Vincent and Frank Barbara; and mother-in-law, Virginia Fogarty.
Jo was an avid reader and she loved traveling but most of all loved her family. The love for her family cannot be expressed in words. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was very involved in their lives as she attended all of their sporting events, recitals and school functions. She provided her family much laughter with her affectionately known as "Jo Bear moments". Her family was extremely blessed to have Jo in their lives as she was a constant source of support, love and encouragement. Her presence will be missed each day.
During her illness, Jo was blessed to have 4 wonderful caregivers: Christine, Vertell, Nicole and Sandra, who provided her with the utmost love, care and compassion. She was able to stay at her home surrounded each day by her family due to the care that these women provided her. The Fogarty family will be forever grateful to each of them.
The Fogarty Family would also like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all the family and friends that supported them during Jo's illness. The phone calls, messages, meals and visits meant so much to not only Jo but to the entire family.
